Mission & History
Our legacy of excellence in golf
Our Mission
The National Professional Amateur Golf Association (NPAGA) is dedicated to promoting the game of golf and fostering excellence among amateur and professional golfers across the United States.
We strive to create opportunities for golfers of all skill levels to compete, learn, and grow in the sport while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and sportsmanship.
Our History
Founded in 1938
Since 1938, amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. The National PAGA has been at the forefront of amateur golf excellence.
Growth and Expansion
Over the decades, NPAGA has grown from a small group of passionate golfers to a national organization with chapters across the country, promoting the game and creating lasting friendships through golf.
Today
Today, NPAGA continues to be a leader in amateur golf, hosting tournaments, supporting junior golfers, and maintaining our Hall of Fame to honor those who have made significant contributions to the sport.
